This is going to be interesting; I’m not the best at talking about myself…and that’s mostly what this blog will be about!
My name is Caitlyn 🙂 I’m a native to Tampa and absolutely love it here. You can play outside every day of the year and always have the sun on your shoulders. My parents are awesome and I fell pretty lucky to have been stuck with them. My brother Aaron is now 15 and I can’t believe it! My family adopted him when I was 12…I can’t picture life without the kid that now stand six inches taller than me!
I have a marketing degree from University of Tampa…loved every minute on that beautiful campus. While there I roomed with one of the dearest people…Bethany. She’s an amazing person inside & out. Bethany has a rough life now and is forced to reside in Honolulu, HI! 😉 Haha…we’re actually trying to figure out how I can come visit!
I currently work at a television broadcasting company in Tampa and love it. Everyday my work is appreciated. I work on the corporate side of things…running reports and analyzing numbers & trends. I feel like I’m somewhere where I could have a career and not just a job; it’s nice to like work again!
Exercise really became a part of my life in 2007. Bought myself a road bike from Target & fell in love. I also started doing 5K races with some work friends at the time. The passion for running & biking continued to grow. With a shout-out to my amazing friend, I completed 10 half marathons in 6 months time. He deserves some kudos because he was there for me through all of the training and was at almost every finish line for me. He was a great motivator and encourager…and made every race weekend an adventure for us! 🙂
And that brings me to today. I’m inching up to the start of my marathon training that officially starts in August. My first full marathon will be the Jacksonville Bank Marathon in December. I also recently started a new entrepreneurial endeavour with Beachbody. They have a meal replacement product, Shakeology; I just finished up my second week of it. I’m hoping to tighten up and tone down before long runs are in full swing.
Now that you have a solid run down of me…I’ll continue to share more! This blog will follow my running adventures of marathon training, Shakeology, and whatever else life brings my way!
