*Now those of you just have recently met me in the last couple months…imagine me with that length of hair…because that’s what it used to be!*
I loved being able to spend the week with WJG! She lives in Brooksville, and I in Riverview, so seeing each other can sometimes be tricky. Thank goodness for texting and an understanding that we stalk each other on twitter 😉 We played house all week…and also stayed with these guys:
Arthur & Charlie
Fishy & Sea Urchin
Had a nice break in the
middle of the week of the 4th of July falling on Wednesday. WJG and I
awoke early and went off on an adventure…biking the Suncoast
Trail to Brooksville! The 27 miles there was enjoyable, I hauled butt and
made my ride speedy. Once we arrived her brother picked us and the
bikes up and we all met her Dad for breakfast — which was delicious: Philly cheese steak omelet with hash browns. The ride home was not so pleasant…it got HOT. I ran out of water a couple times since I sweat
so much of it out; and there was not enough shade to our liking…either
way…we succeeded! 54 miles done!
I was very far away from home.

We had full intentions of having a fun evening for the Fourth…but watching mindless television, eating banana pudding ice cream, and wearing my bright green compression socks for the remainder of the day won. Needless to say, those 54 miles took more out of us than we realized.
WJG and I both scored some awesome new tan lines though…NOT.
The following morning…we made ourselves proud and awoke early my favorite workout, Insanity Fast & Furious.
Fast forwarding to the weekend, Saturday morning I ran 9.6 miles with SnF. We ran through Valrico and Bloomingdale; areas I grew up in but never ran through! The ladies at Burger King were very impressed with our running skills when we stopped for a water break. 🙂 But thanks to SnF…she kept me going! That was the longest run I’ve done since my last half marathon this past March!
Upon arriving home — I had mail. I love receiving mail…sometimes my brain automatically reverts back to when I was five and being allowed to check the mailbox… But I finally received my strawberry SHAKEOLOGY! And man is it good! I’m excited to try different recipes and share. 🙂
