Yay for the long weekend!
Week 6 of marathon training is almost in the books…woah. I’m awesome at altering my training schedule…and doing it again Saturday. For tomorrow, I will sleep in! Ha! I’m simply taking advantage of the long weekend and will get in my 7 miles at some point. I might spice things up and do some Rockin’ Body tomorrow morning.
The new Cross-Fitter, PQ, was in town this week, so we met up for spin on Tuesday night. I gave her a warning that it was a different type of class that night…and I was correct. The first 30 minutes of class was basic…pedal, pedal, pedal. The next 30 minutes was weird. Soho Cycling Studio has a team for Beach Beast, an obstacle course race on the beach. I was unaware that the latter part of spin class was a ‘training’ for this…PQ and I were good sports and proceeded to crawl around the studio like different types of animals. Bear. Crab. Alligator. Inchworm. Penguin. Woah.

We then got caught up with each other’s lives over Chipotle…best post workout meal.
Wednesday night…got home late and did NOT want to work out. Punished myself instead and did the Insanity Fit Test; this way I was pushing myself to perform more reps…

Thursday, ran 6, hot, humid and miserable miles…wish that was more exciting.
Friday, weights, arms, legs. Nice & simple.
Now…for the long weekend. I have no plans…and actually want it that way. I have a long to-do list and want to check everything off. Training calls for a 7 mile long run…so that’ll happen sometime this weekend; along with a couple dates with Shaun T. 🙂

Three…got my prize pack from registering for the Rock ‘N’ Roll St. Pete Half Marathon at a discount! Nice, soft shirt, koozie and poster 🙂
Four…registered for a half marathon today for only $1! BAM! Registration was not smooth…but the director is doing an amazing job making sure that everything gets straightened out. I am very excited to race it…and receive my medal for the BEST DAMN RACE.
Five…my month of workouts! I know…you couldn’t wait to see how much I worked out the month of August! Each day that is a color…I worked out; I only took 9 rest days in August. Woah.
