Something Different.

In normal clothes 🙂

I don’t always think/talk/breathe fitness & running — here is some proof. 🙂
*I finished my thoughts and realized this post could use a preface.
Preface: For me, life is good right now. Not everything is perfect, but
it doesn’t need to be. I’m happy — and making an impact with simply
living my life — and that feels so good. Thanks to the means of social
media that I utilize, I’m able to see & hear from those of you that I
inspire, help, and motivate. Just by doing my daily thing, I’ve found my
passion and that is by inspiring & motivating all of you. It was by
fitness, running, and lots of positive thoughts that gotten myself to
where I am.
And that got me thinking…even though you’ve heard these little motto’s
and sayings before, why not share them with you? So here’s my
hodge-piste of thoughts that make my life happy.

And here is where the original post began…
As I start to spew my thoughts in my notepad on my iPhone — as I treat
myself to a pedicure,  I notice that I’m inspired to write at funny times —
never when I have a race to recap or when I have an abundance of time
and could write a random post. Thoughts come when they come — hence
this post of random thoughts and tid-bits.
In life as a whole, I’m quite the planner. I love to plan (or have a
general idea) of my weekly workouts & when I’ll get in a couple of
runs. I like to plan my work week…figure out days I can work longer
and catch up on things. And I LOVE to plan my weekends, probably too
much! With races, times with family & friends, special outings and
getting vitamin D, I don’t mind a busy weekend.
But sometimes life doesn’t let you plan. Sometimes opportunities arise
that require quick decisions — and sometimes life just happens.  This
leads me to my first motto: live with no regrets. Be greedy and
think of yourself. You only live once so don’t give yourself the chance
to think “what if?” *of course don’t take this to the extreme, but
don’t hold yourself back for silly reasons!
And diving into my next point, do what makes you happy (within reason).
Don’t always worry what your friends and family will say — if they see
it makes you happy, chances are they’ll support you. Often times my
parents don’t understand my love for running. They see the times it
takes, they see me hobble around after a marathon, they see me in yet
another new workout outfit. They sometimes forget when I have a big
race… But — my brother, Aaron, loves it; and that means so much! Aaron
will admit he’s got some extra flubber 😉 but one days wants to run like
me. He loves when I gift him a bright workout shirt — and loves that I
let him inspect a new medal before I hang it up. So even if no one else
understands why I endure the pain of running sometimes, knowing my
brother looks up to me makes it all worth it.
A year ago, I wasn’t happy — with a lot of things. Looking back, I made
some changes and soon became happy with MYSELF again. Always remember
you can’t be happy with anything (your job, your significant other, your
life) unless you’re happy with YOU first.
It was also a year ago that I fell in love with Lululemon. Yes, their
clothes are amazing, but there’s more to the beautiful items that make
muffin tips disappear (I still don’t know how they do that!) A new store
opened in Tampa and I decided to interview. Being the good interviewee
that I am, (at least I think I am) I did some research on Lulu as a
company —
and what I found out I LOVED.
SET GOALS
Lulu does an amazing job incorporating goal setting within all aspects of their company. It was brought up during the group interview, they have portions of their website dedicated to goal setting, and they make it apparent in the store as well. Obviously, my next tid-bit to share is: make goals! It was with simply setting some yearly and monthly goals — I was able to get happy with myself again.
So  now I’ll step off of my soap-box. But I felt like sharing 🙂 I’m filled with so much happiness from all the love I receive on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. I’m amazed by the amount of kindness and encouragement from complete strangers — and I wanted all of you to know how much I appreciate all of it. So mixed with my little motivational mottos and all of YOUR comments and likes, I’m a happy camper. 🙂
What are your favorite mottos and sayings to live by?

This was a great post. There is something so deeply moving when someone you've never met before says that you've inspired them. In fact, it always catches me off guard. I do love to inspire people, sometimes I don't think about it, I'm just trying to be the best me I can, and be a better me than I was yesterday and if someone can motivated by that, it makes it all worth it!
