Valentine’s Day ::: for us single girls!

IMG_5516

Yes, I do think Valentine’s Day is a Hallmark holiday — but I love pink, hearts, and love…when you can actually find it! 😉

If you are single like me, don’t diss the day — have some fun with those ladies that love you all the time, make it a girlFRIEND Valentine’s Day!

*This year, ‘hearts day’ falls on Sunday Funday, why not make brunch happen with the ladies! Mimosas anyone??

*Have your girls over for a night in, a movie, some vino & snacks. But one rule, no phones! You know we don’t want to see those silly check-ins via Facebook.

*Feeling brave? Venture out for drinks & a movie. I suggest the flick below…

*Or, a little change up to idea above, and my personal, dream date: a simple dinner at Chipotle and then grabbing a movie. Once again, same suggestion.

*Throw a shin-dig! I took to Pinterest and found so many cute & genuine ways to let you and your girls feel the love. Planning a party at home can be easy, invite the girls to BYOB or BYOdish. If you plan the party early enough, do a fun gift exchange with a $10 limit — who doesn’t love a little gift? Decorate with pink, hearts, (Target’s $1 section for the win!) and some live flowers to brighten the ambiance. And the cutest idea I found — when guests arrive to your party, have them write what they love about each other — positivity is always a good thing and you learn a little something new; plus, who does not love a compliment!

Do you have plans for Valentine’s Day? Your significant other or the girls?

My mom has always given my sister and I a cute gift for Valentine’s Day 🙂 Now I have Christian, but I think she always will hehe. Christian and I will probably just do dinner somewhere! We’ve never done anything over the top, and especially now that we’re long distance (for like 1 1/2 years now), a simple dinner out is a wonderful occasion, Valentine’s Day or not. Love all your ideas! Girls nights are alwaysss fun!! <3

Ironically, I haven’t done anything for Valentine’s Day since I’ve been with my husband. We don’t really celebrate the hallmark holidays. But I did always do something with my girlfriends on V-day when I was single. It was usually a bowling outing or a girl specific occasion, but it was always so much fun. Hope you enjoy yours this year.

Chipotle and a movie is perfect in my book! I do that often with my best friend, and my husband! Perfect for Galentine’s Day 🙂

All of this sounds so fun and easy! I always spent valentines day with a group of friends just hanging out, watching movies and ordering in. Keeping it simple is where its at. For friends far away, I’ll always send a cute text or call them to spread the love!
