Yes, I do think Valentine’s Day is a Hallmark holiday — but I love pink, hearts, and love…when you can actually find it! 😉
If you are single like me, don’t diss the day — have some fun with those ladies that love you all the time, make it a girlFRIEND Valentine’s Day!
*This year, ‘hearts day’ falls on Sunday Funday, why not make brunch happen with the ladies! Mimosas anyone??
*Have your girls over for a night in, a movie, some vino & snacks. But one rule, no phones! You know we don’t want to see those silly check-ins via Facebook.
*Feeling brave? Venture out for drinks & a movie. I suggest the flick below…
*Or, a little change up to idea above, and my personal, dream date: a simple dinner at Chipotle and then grabbing a movie. Once again, same suggestion.
*Throw a shin-dig! I took to Pinterest and found so many cute & genuine ways to let you and your girls feel the love. Planning a party at home can be easy, invite the girls to BYOB or BYOdish. If you plan the party early enough, do a fun gift exchange with a $10 limit — who doesn’t love a little gift? Decorate with pink, hearts, (Target’s $1 section for the win!) and some live flowers to brighten the ambiance. And the cutest idea I found — when guests arrive to your party, have them write what they love about each other — positivity is always a good thing and you learn a little something new; plus, who does not love a compliment!
Do you have plans for Valentine’s Day? Your significant other or the girls?
