When you want a…
little bit of rock.
little bit of raw.
Rock ‘n Raw is the place for you at Seminole Hard Rock & Casino.
*thanks to the relationship with Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, they did provide me with a complimentary meal for two in exchange for a blog post & social media love. All opinions are my own.
Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino has so much to offer; from their numerous slot machines, assorted dining options, poker tables, live music…you’re sure to have a great time. Every time. Rock ‘n Raw is located on the second floor, just next to Fresh Harvest. You’ll find a plethora of Asian dishes, fresh & flavor-packed sushi, along with your traditional sake.
We started off with hot green tea and some delicious dumplings. There are two dumpling dishes as an appetizer, I suggest the Wok Fry Dumplings. These pork & veggie filled dumplings were a perfect start and awakened our palate with the ginger infused dipping sauce. *note: I wanted to put the ginger dipping sauce on everything.
Their menu covers eeeeeverything you would want for a true, Asian foodie experience; with the selection of sushi rolls, a full list of Asian dishes, we were both able to get something to strike our fancy. This also makes it a great option for a big party! Since it can sometimes be tricky with a group, Rock ‘n Raw’s menu has something for everyone, even if they don’t love sushi like we do!
The Luc Lac Beef Tenderloin was oh-so-tasty! *my photo does not do it justice…* But it was even big enough to share; tender & full of flavor, the tenderloin was atop seasoned greens & tomatoes and topped with zesty peppers.
I indulged in the Sesame Chicken and would have been happy with five.more.plate.fulls. This dish is one you can find in any Asian kitchen, and Rock ‘n Raw does it juuuust right. Plenty of zing, matched with the sweet, it was my favorite of the evening.
As for the sushi, we tried the Maguro King roll and the Mexican Roll. The Maguro King roll was spicy tuna rolled with pineapple, topped with scallion & crunch. This roll was so full of flavor and with big, hearty pieces, it was perfect for sharing.
Almost every sushi restaurant has their version of the Mexican roll… and Rock ‘n Raw was tasty! They spiced it up with their ginger sauce and the greenest of avocados. I chose to add cream cheese, as it’s my favorite way to indulge; but with or without my indulgence, the roll was delicious and I might have eaten every.single.piece.
*the staff was great, offered excellent suggestions and kept our green tea hot and full. *no wait! we were able to walk right up and you can even grab a spot to watch the sushi-making action! *pricing: totally affordable and worth it. plus, with the portions, you may even have a doggie-bag to take home. hello lunch the next day! *the options: I know I already said this…but it really is a great place for any type of foodie. *the location: you’re at the Hard Rock! enjoy yourself! find some tunes! try your luck!
