#keepingitreal, I don’t need any convincing to visit Disney. It’s everyone’s happy place, but it is also my therapy — no shame in that! I love visiting solo to catch my favorite rides & shows, but also love going with friends for a few drinks around the world in Epcot.
It is no secret that the Polynesian Resort is one of the most sought after resorts on Disney property. Having visited Hawaii in the past, the Poly (yes, I’ve nicknamed it) really does take you right to the beautiful beaches of Hawaii and it’s gorgeous culture.
And just like the Polynesian Resort, there are plenty of reasons to fall in love with the Kia Sportage. At the time I was able to drive the Kia Sportage, I had just recently purchased my new car, and let me tell you — the Sportage made me want to do an exchange!
The Kia Sportage is luxurious, most of the time, I even forgot I was driving a Kia! With gorgeous leather seats and state of the art features such as it’s navigation screen and impeccable steering. Not only did I love it for myself, it would be a great family car with plenty of room and spacious seating. And, pardon me, but it’s just a sexy car; I know, I know, that sounds silly — but all things in perspective, with its features, abundant space, great steering and overall look & feel, it’s pretty sexy!
As expected… back to Disney! I know I don’t need to really give you any reasons to venture to the Polynesian Resort, but here are a few things about the Hawaiian themed resort that you may not know. It is easy access to Magic Kingdom; you still do have to park in MK parking (you can not park at Poly unless you have a set reservation at one of their restaurants or are a guest), but it’s fun to walk thru the resort and take their monorail or boat into MK. Believe it or not, La Cava del Tequila is not the only bar that I frequent on Disney property and the Poly holds my next favorite one — Trader Sam’s! Trader Sam’s has seating inside and outside, and both are worth experiencing. The inside is a must; with each drink you order, the environment changes; then outside, you can enjoy the same beverages, live Hawaiian music and even catch the fireworks show! (the outdoor speakers change to the firework’s show music so you can enjoy it just as you would in front of the castle.)
There are a few restaurants to enjoy at the resort, my favorite being Ohana; here, you can enjoy every meal — but I suggest going for breakfast/brunch! Their brunch is buffet style…with characters!! You get to meet Lilo & Stitch, Pluto and Mickey, in an adorable Hawaiian shirt. The Polynesian Resort also has a real Luau to experience, and is one of the few places to enjoy the infamous Dole Whip!
what is your favorite thing about the Polynesian Resort?
