thanks to the relationship with the Tampa Bay Bloggers and the Straz Center, I did receive complimentary tickets to see Beautiful – The Carole King Musical in exchange for a blog post & social media love. All opinions are my own.
While my Dad’s music taste would sometimes make me plug my ears [insert jazz here]… I always welcomed the sounds of James Taylor & Carole King. If I remember correctly, they did an album or two together; my dad would tap his feet and my mom would hum with no prevail. Throw in my personal love for music & movies… Carole King is to thank for some of my favorites. So when I had the opportunity to see Beautiful – The Carole King Musical, for a second time, I happily obliged to an evening of tunes & deep Brooklyn accents. Carole King has quite the story, and you’ve heard more of her songs than you probably realize. Catch Beautiful – The Carole King Musical at the Straz Center, now, until Sunday, April 1; visit HERE for tickets and showtimes.
Although I had already seen Beautiful – The Carole King Musical, and knew what to expect – it got me thinking about being B-E-A-utiful. *points for knowing what movie that is from* A jewelry company I love recently did a campaign, “You Are Beautiful” and they touched on every sense of the word; how everyone, female and male, are beautiful in their own way, and how finding the beauty in life is necessary.
Outward beauty is portrayed in a numerous of ways, and is different, not just across the world, but even just the city of Tampa. While I could ask you a slightly awkward question, “What body part of yours do you find most beautiful?” – I won’t. But really, think about it.
But here are a few ways you are beautiful – all the time – without a filter – even without your concealer & mascara.
your goals: not everyone has the guts to set them – trust me. But you took the time, the effort, the soul searching to decide what lights your fire and what you want to accomplish. Then, you probably wrote them down, put them into the universe and are working towards them everyday. See… not such an easy task.
your voice & opinion: you know what you stand for – you live what you believe. While these may be similar to others… they are probably backed up by…
your why: maybe it’s one reason, maybe its 20. Why you sacrifice, or work longer hours. Why you kill it weekly in spin class, or go to bed early. Why you call your Momma weekly, or gave up your career for your mini me(s).
and I couldn’t resist one… your eyes & smile: no filter required. No one, not in the Sunshine State, nor in the world, not even in the Milky Way has your exact iris, or your exact ridges in your two front teeth.
With beauty being ever evolving, what do you find beauty in today?
