#AdultDisney: Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party

It’s officially spooky season!! 👻 🎃 💀 🕸

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is my favorite time of year at Disney World. Yes, it even beats out the Food & Wine Festival, I can get my favorites at Epcot any time of the year.

There are a lot of reasons to enjoy MNSSHP: You can visit Magic Kingdom without paying full price; the tickets for a special-ticketed event are more affordable than a regular ticket. It’s a fun and easy way for the kids to enjoy the magic & Halloween. Plus, it’s an easy way for parents to enjoy the fun too — since the kids get to dress up for MNSSHP, you may save yourself from going out Halloween night! Everyone gets candy, and everyone can dress up too!

But more importantly — here is why I make Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party a yearly event.

adulting is hard. While it’s hard for every adult, those of us without kids don’t always have a reason to act like a kid and go to Disney. *wait, I do this anyway… oops!* But packing up your friends, donning some costumes — gives us a little break from the real world and lets us play at Disney for Halloween.

dressing up is one of my favorite things. Anyone who knows me knows this, and that I do it whenever I can. It’s no secret that I love creating my Halloween costume, and even theming it with friends. But MNSSHP is one of the few times that adults are able to visit Disney World in a costume, so of course, I take advantage!

less of a crowd. Since this is a special ticketed event, only those who purchase a ticket are able to stay in the Magic Kingdom after a certain time. We’ve all experienced the crazy crowds of Disney; a little less crowd is very welcomed. *and less of a wait time for rides! For MNSSHP, you can arrive as early as 4PM, and the fun officially begins at 7PM.

get into the spirit! Now, this isn’t too hard for me to do… but adulting, responsibility and such can damper the Halloween fun. Disney has a way of bringing the magic… for any holiday or day to celebrate.

What are you doing for Halloween this year?
