*disclaimer: thanks to the amazingness of Scotties Tissue and blo blow dry bar in Tampa, I received a complimentary blo service in exchange for blog & social media love. All opinions are my own.
Now that the holidays are in full swing — parties to throw, gift to buy, pictures to take and cards to send. But what are you doing for you? Something I try my best to remember, I gotta take care of me before I can be any help to others. Here are a few staples that Momma taught me to implement for you. . I do my best to do them daily ::: they can really make a difference some days!
Ready, set, let’s go!
First up, basic —> everyday makeup. A little eyeliner, some mascara, concealer (if ya need it) and bronzer. Simple. Add a tinted lipgloss for a polished look. Quick enough for everyday but ensures you’re up for anything the day can throw your way! *This is my routine every morning! Thanks to my gorgeous lashes from Alyssa, I can skip the mascara and be out the door!
Secondly, your hair. Who knew a few quick curls could make my hair look so good & healthy!!
Thanks to the collaboration of Scotties Tissues and blo blow dry bar in Tampa (right across from International Plaza), I was able to experience some princess treatment! An oh-so-good scalp massage and curls made all the difference!
I was so impressed by all the services that blo blow bar offers — from blowouts, manicures, hair styling for special events, and more — this is the perfect way to treat yourself for a night out with the girls, and a one-stop-beautification for a bridal party.
So really, take some time for you. Christina (from The Blissful Balance) and I gladly took the down time to chat it up about life & the upcoming busy-ness of the holidays.
Thanks again to Scotties Tissues, the star treatment was lovely!
And look! Since chopping it — and keeping this platinum color on point, I do not wash my hair too often, #sorrynotsorry. I was originally hesitant to take part in a blowout, simply because, how much can you do with short hair?? However, I was able to rock these loose curls for three days!
And a gimme —> your smile! [Make your smile so bright you gotta wear shades!] Personally, this is one of the first things I notice about a person, and I know I’m not the only one. I don’t go for the whitening at the dentist office — I would rather spend my money on more fun things! But I have found that the combo of baking soda & coconut oil works wonders.
Next up, a gooooood pair of flats, my favorite are Pluggz. [Make sure to use CAITLYN to save 10% on your purchase!] One, they go with everything — work pants, little black dress, and those amazing lulu wunder unders. In my world, these always beat heels, always. #shortgirlsunite
