After experiencing An American in Paris this evening…it got me thinking. The characters of the show think with their head, but sometimes go with their heart. Which is better? Does the situation matter? Does the relationship matter — family vs significant other?

There are many answer. Many reasons. Many options.

But sometimes, just sometimes, you should always follow your heart.

it’s your passion. There is no denying what makes you happy. What makes the creative juices flow. What makes your heart pitter patter. What makes work go by quickly.. so that it doesn’t seem like work at all. We all have our different things that light our fire… Whether it be blogging or lifting heavy weights, when coloring with your passion, you never have to stay in the lines.

it’s takes you to the [safe] unknown. Sometimes taking a chance can be the best thing! There are many times I wonder what would have become had I left Tampa for college, or ventured out of my hometown for an opportunity. I honestly think that I am where I’m meant to me…but I’m a wonderer and ponderer…

it’s love. it’s a spark. For when you find the one that makes your heart sing. I can’t exactly speak to this one from my personal experience but I do believe in soulmates, and maybe even having more than one. But what I do know, that soulmates aren’t just those you marry — they can be friends too. There is no doubt Bethany is my soul-sister and ‘gets’ me better than anyone.
