Their motto is “eat. drink. be social.” … and they’re the perfect place to do just that.
Cask Social is located on the outskirts of Soho in South Tampa — with the vibes of going out but still quiet enough for date night. Although they have only been opened for a few years, they have already such an imprint in the Tampa Bay area.
Recently, they gave their menu an remodel and I was lucky enough to try some of their new appetizers, happy hour bites, and main dishes.
thanks to my relationship with Plan A Management & Cask, I was given the opportunity to enjoy a tasting of their new happy hour items in exchange for a blog post and social media love. all opinions are my own.
beverages. You really cannot go wrong with any drink choice from Cask; while their speciality is Whiskey, they have a variety of wine, draft beer, and creative cocktails.
Their Tito’s Lemonade is always a favorite of mine, and their St. Petersburg Mule Old Fashioned is right up there! And don’t be fooled, there are no boundaries with their drinks — some even come with popsicles!
happy hour. Never been to Cask? Then you’d be silly not to hit them up for Happy Hour and take a dabble. You can catch their specials, 4PM-7PM, Monday thru Friday for drink specials, half off the delicious Lounge Menu & $5 Tito’s (my fave!). Plus, they have Hospitality Day on Sundays, 4pM-close and Ladies Night on Thursday, 5pM-close.
new appetizers & dishes.
Thee Bavarian Pretzel: Just as amazing as it sounds — throw in Cigar City Jai Alai Cheese Sauce and soon…that twisted dough is gone.
Trio Deviled Eggs. Oh man, oh man. Three types, Avocado, Lobster, & Truffle Bacon; we *may* have been fighting over these… the flavor combinations were perfect and I wanted three more plates full.
Buffalo Cauliflower: Since my first visit, this has been on the menu, and well deserving! Just enough bite and plenty to share.
Flatbreads: Quite a few to choose from… perfect for sharing or have one all to yourself. I love the Citrus Shrimp and Herb Chicken. Both full of flavor, each topping complimenting the others.
Citrus Scallion: #keepingitreal, I am not a scallion fan due to my weird texture issues, but these smelled divine! They were raved about by others at the tasting…so I am totally taking their word on it!
Lobstah: Ever since my visit to Hawaii, I jump at any chance to enjoy a lobster dish; but, nothing compared this Lobstah dish! Atop a bed of avocado with a hint of citrus, the lobster melted in your mouth and such a succulent dish.
dessert. While I would rather have salty over sweet, their Seasonal Parfaits hit the spot. The Keylime & Crumb was my favorite, but each were rich layered of flavor with a opposing sweet layer. In short…eat alllll the layers.
