Color, color, and more color!

I was able to participate last year with Fit2Run and run Color Me Rad. It was such a blast and I was looking forward to running it again!

You can’t go wrong about some fun pictures, right?!

Pre-race I had some fun with my eye makeup… Thanks to Urban Decay my green eyes tasted the rainbow. 

Once I arrived, the Kid Rock look-alike hollers from stage that a burpee contest is coming up. Of course my ears perked up, I had a busy day and burning more calories was welcoming! I made my way up to the stage…I was up against three other ladies and one high school guy. Kid Rock said start and away I went! I’ll save you the suspense, I won! Yes, I beat the kid and if it was a numbers game I would have beat everyone combined (I should have counted!)

And it was time for running through color to commence!

Purple…Yellow…Blue…Pink…

The best part of the day was meeting Angelina! She won my giveaway to run Color Me Rad. We have been following each other via social media and we finally got to meet in person! She’s super sweet and I can’t wait to ‘run’ into her again! 

This race is great for kids, easy and fun way to get them into the active scene. 

Some quick tips: 

*Bring your own water (they have plenty of water on course — but we know they always want something to drink when it’s not around!) 

*Wear a hat, that you don’t care about getting colored! (the race is always very hot and hiding your hair will protect your locks from the color)

*Bring a towel & change of clothes for afterwards…and maybe some baby wipes to get the first layer of color off!

And of course this race is for everyone else too!

*Easy course that is walker friendly.

*You get blasted with color!

*Super, fun time!!
