*disclaimer: thanks to the amazingness of DriveShop, I was able to drive the spunky 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage in exchange for blog & social media love. All opinions are my own.
Driving the 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage was so much fun ::: it has quite a few features that I specifically looked for when purchasing my Jetta…back in 2008. The best feature was 44 miles per gallon on highway; I was able to drive to & from Orlando, to and from teaching class in Palm Harbor, and driving to work three days — that is quite a view miles! I was impressed!
I love the sporty look of the console and steering wheel ::: Easy to read speedometer, she even verbally told me when I was over the speed limit (she’s pretty smart!) ::: perfect space for my necessities, Shakeology & aqua ::: A button to start – wish my car had this feature!
The GPS system was on point; as I mentioned above, she alerted me when I was over the speed limit, and using the GPS was simplistic, easy and actually informative. She shared more info with me and it was very helpful ::: And below…obviously she has quite the taste in music 😉 I loved the feature of being able to plug in my phone (without using bluetooth) and jamming to my own music selections.
My original weekend plans did take a turn and I spent the weekend with my brother since my parents were away. Look at that trunk space! At first glance, I was afraid she wouldn’t fit all the Shakeo, lululemon and meal preps — but did! With all of my local traveling, ample truck size is oddly a very important factor for me!
Final thoughts: I loved the Mitsubishi Mirage. At first glance, it was too small in my opinion, but with an open mind all the features won me over and in the end, size doesn’t really matter 😉 If I was in the market for a new car, I would consider the Mirage due to its superb gas mileage, functionality and techy, modern features.
Side note ::: I think this would be a perfect first car for a new driver! Great gas mileage, just enough features (and will tell them when they’re over the speed limit!), good size (not too big for too many friends and just enough for a little car pool to school action), and nice on mom & dad’s wallet. This car can get them started in high school, the gas mileage will get them home for the holidays during college and maybe even further!
Thank you again to DriveShop & Mitsubishi ::: driving her was a blast!
