thanks to the relationship with the Tampa Bay Bloggers and the Straz Center, I did receive complimentary tickets to see Love Never Dies in exchange for a blog post & social media love. All opinions are my own.
Phantom of the Opera is *probably* my favorite show… ever. While I am not one for mushy stories, the connection between Phantom & Christine is undeniable, and the music speaks to my soul. When I used to play the piano, this was my absolute favorite to play; I can still remember the notes as my fingers used to dance across the keys.
Love Never Dies is the continuation of Phantom’s story, 10 years in the future. There are a few characters that return to the stage that we already know & love, along with many new ones. With each scene, we are swept away into a grand circus (literally) and follow the continuation of their story. You can catch it for yourself at the Straz Center now until Sunday, December 17th. If you are a Phantom of the Opera fan, you do not want to miss it!
Being the Phantom fan that I am, I absolutely loved it. And got me thinking about love and how much it truly, resembles a circus. Love is dazzling, full of glamour, glitz & beauty. Love is also full of surprises, sometimes even with tricks up it’s sleeve. Love makes you “oooh” and “aaah”, or even gets the reaction of applause. Love brings on the warm & fuzzies; love always makes you wanting more. Love makes you happy, brings joy; but is a realist is sometimes brings up high & lows, just like watching a tight rope walker.
