Can you believe it is already March! 2016 is flying by…I’d like it to slow down just a little. Anyone else??

March has two of my favorites…a great holiday and superb festival. Plus there’s a giveaway…but you gotta find out about my favorites first!

Starting today, is the Florida Strawberry Festival. I have been attending the festival ever since 2000, my freshman year of high school. And W O A H ! ! I *think* I only missed going to the festival a year or two, so I have been going every year for the past 14ish years — aye yi yi — I’m old! But back to strawberries… The Strawberry Festival runs from Thursday, March 3rd to Sunday March 13th and they’re open daily 10AM to 10PM (some days the Midway [all the rides] is open later, so check their schedule). Take a visit, check all the vendors, make sure to visit Brandon Farms for one of their famous strawberry shakes; a full day of fun is only $10 for adults and $5 for the little peeps.

And keeping it about me 😉 One of my favorite holidays — St. Patrick’s Day! Visit HERE for what do to the day of, on Thursday, March 17th — but you should add Saturday, March 19th to your calendar too because the river is turning green! This is the fourth year of the green awesomeness — from 10:30AM to 4PM on 3/19/16, gather at Curtis Hixon Park as the Hillsborough River becomes a vibrant green in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. The event is free and it’s always a fun afternoon downtown.

Busch Gardens is kicking off their Food & Wine Festival this weekend — the weekends can now be filled with Corks & Coasters! Weekends, on Saturdays and Sundays, now until April 24th, you can enjoy their spiced up menu plus Festival favorites. The hours are noon to 9PM, and make sure to check their schedule for the concert line-up too!

And saving the best for last!! The Valspar Championship is coming to Innisbrook in Palm Harbor, FL this weekend. The PGA Tour event will begin on Sunday, March 6, we start with the Par4Miler — a 4 mile running race around the greens, early next week is practices and everything kicks off on Thursday, March 10th with Round 1 and a concert by Rascal Flatts that evening.
