Back in December, I had the opportunity to test out the Mazda CX-5. It’s a great vehicle and I even got to drive it down to Cape Coral for the Best Damn Race. Since this past weekend was the Best Damn Race in Safety Harbor, I don’t want to keep you waiting any longer, here is my review of the vehicle and all the places it took me!
*disclaimer: thanks to the amazingness of DriveShop, I was able to drive the gorgeous 2015 Mazda CX-5 in exchange for blog & social media love. All opinions are my own.
Fitness has put itself back onto my agenda & into my active mindset [thankfully]. Lately, crossing training > running, so Mantra has been a perfect fit — challenging, sweaty, but easy on my joints. If you have been thru Tampa, you know Dale Mabry…if not, well it’s a treat. Driving down the street of Dale Mabry takes you from one end of Tampa to the other — and Tampa is not a small city! Parts of the street are too narrow, but the Mazda CX-5 had no problem maneuvering the streets on the way to class. It really does drive like a car, and I loved that since I do prefer to be lower in a car.
If you know me — you know I love my coffee. And late night dates with my Mac to the local Starbucks for blogging & social medial brain-storming sessions. I felt completely safe with the Mazda CX-5’s safety features, keyless entry, and interior & exterior lighting.
Without changing the subject too soon — I whipped thru Tampa’s new Caribou Coffee on Saturday morning before heading down to Cape Coral for Best Damn Race. No joke, the best damn race ever, I was excited to help out for the weekend under the palm trees. Another aspect I loved about the CX-5 was it’s sportiness; the steering wheel was even in check! There was a fancy button for ‘sport mode‘, it came in handy with all of the highway driving I did that weekend.
My favorite part about this Mazda CX-5 was the interior. Not kidding…. I melt for anything white; I promptly did that the first time seeing the leather interior of my CX-5.
flawless. sophisticated. elegant. sporty. classy.
The steering, console & instrumental area was also worth swooning over. It was all very easy to use & navigate with bluetooth; my ride to Cape Coral and filled with smooth driving, cruise control and all my tunes streaming from my iPhone.
#keepingitreal, I was flabbergasted that I only needed to fill up my car after I was home from my weekend adventures. With 35 mph/hwy, I traveled to & from work five days, Tampa —> Cape Coral —> Tampa, to & from my class in Palm Harbor, and to & from two other events with friends during the week! It was amazing how many miles I was able to cover with just one tank of gas!
And just look… the Mazda CX-5 is a beauty! My color for the week was a deep olive green, a very sophisticated color to match a classy car. This vehicle would work for someone like me, my parents, new parents, really anyone! The CX-5 truly fit my style and this gem is now on my radar!
