Straz Center: The Play That Goes Wrong

*disclaimer: thanks to my relationship with The Straz Center and the Tampa Bay Bloggers, I did receive the opportunity to see The Play That Goes Wrong in exchange for blog & social media love. all opinion are my own.

And I may add, another disclaimer: only see The Play That Goes Wrong if you’re ok with an ab workout from laughing so much! Plus some sore cheeks – I felt like I was smiling for all those prom photos my mama made me take!

Of course I am not going to spoil the show, but it’s beyond clever, hilariously funny and great for any age. Plus, it was produced by J.J. Abrams (insert three of my favorites: Star Wars, Star Trek & Lost!!), and for me, that was reason enough to see it! And really, don’t do an ab workout that AM – you’ll be laughing the entire show… and it oddly makes you feel better once you see all of their problems. 😉 You can catch it now, until Sunday, October 21st at the Straz Center in Downtown Tampa.

Per usual, the show got me thinking – we all have bad days (heck, I’m having one today), so how do we cope? How do we get over them? And in my world, most importantly, how do we get over them and still have a productive day? While none of these are ground breaking, let them be a reminder the next time you wake up on the wrong side of the bed.

rock it out. My brain operates on music; taking five minutes and soaking up your favorite song can do the trick.

meditate. With less than 90 days left in 2018, I’m trying my best to make this happen daily.

hug you puppy, kitten, pet your iguana. Did you know I’ve always wanted some type of iguana?! Taking a few minutes and sharing cuddles with your furry friend always helps.

step outside. A little vitamin D can work wonders – plus its always smart to get up a move a little for your body & your eyes.

write it down. Sometimes out to-do list is just down right daunting… a brain dump can be so helpful, allowing you to get all your thoughts out, refocus on what needs to be done, and maybe even throw down a few things you’re grateful for to change the tone of your day.

hydrate. Sounds silly, but having a glass of cool water can wake you up from the inside out. Or, grab a glass of sangria, you’re an adult, just be smart. 😉

What do you do when you need to turn that frown upside down?!
