Have you made your way to Oktoberfest Tampa 2015 yet?? Ray and I both think you’re missing out if you have not yet — but seriously, here are all the reasons you need to make it there — make is a MUST DO for next year!
And…you have to look at all my pics to get to my quick tips for your visit!
*thanks to the relationship with the Tampa Oktoberfest & the Tampa Bay Bloggers, I did receive complimentary tickets to attend in exchange for blog & social media love. All opinions are my own.
Stein hoisting begins early! And it goes into the night. The object is to hold the heavy glass stein full of beer at a 90 degree angle away from your body. I tried this for a hot second in Munich, lasted about 15 seconds. This is hard. No joke.
Those judges are tough too! It was a close one between these two…
And the view… reason in itself. [this will never get old]
This is almost reason #1 — the beer! Steins full of the new, signature Dunkel by Coppertail Brewing, yes please!
VIP area brought to you by the Tampa International Airport ::: this is the way to go if you plan on celebrating all day. The yummy feast and unlimited beer!
Another lead sponsor, Tampa Bay Area Audi Dealers, has these beauties scattered throughout the park. It has always been a bucket list of mine to own a sleek Audi.
This view. And this sunset. Again, will never get old.
My number one reason ::: the food!! Other than the history, the modern culture, and edgy style of Berlin & Munich, I fell in love with their food. Oh my. ‘Fell in love’ doesn’t do it justice — I am now addicted. I will cancel plans if someone says they are going to Mr. Dunderbak’s near USF. First date anyone?? (haha, jk, kinda)
See!? It wasn’t good at all 😉
Lastly, authentic entertainment! Traditional dances, music, and jives.
(this made the band-nerd in my happy)
Quick Tips
*Make the stein purchase, just do it. One, the beer is so good, and you need a big glass to “Prost!!” with. And now you own the stein to return with for next year! *Enjoy the authentic food, it is just as good as the real Oktoberfest, I promise. But not a bratwurst fan? There are other options, Ray enjoyed the Chicken Schnitzel. *Take part in some of the games! I know I only showed you the Stein Hoist, but there was a lot more on site. Or make your friends play along, all good & fun for some laughs. *Thanks to the awesome layout of Curtis Hixon Park, there is plenty of places to lay back, take a seat & relax!
Does your city throw an Oktoberfest celebration?
