Since I was able to enjoy the festival last year, I had a game plan. Uber your way there, and enjoy that VIP! Making yourself that VIP status is really the way to go for the Summer of Rum Festival. Not only are you able to enjoy limitless beverages, but you have full access to the Cuban Club & VIP tent.
The bottom floor was an awesome dance party, not joking; the middle floor held the movie theater, which just like last year, was showing Pirates of the Caribbean [classic flick to show while enjoying rum!]; the top floor was the tasting room. There were numerous types of rum to sample, here were a few of my favorites:
Outside, a variety of live entertainment. All of the local bands were awesome this year; gave me the itch to find more local, live music!
Past the Cuban Club courtyard, food trucks lined the street. VIP did have the yummy perk of indulging in Pollo Tropical, but there was a sushi food truck. Case closed.
