Vancouver.

First off, Happy New Year!
I set the goal of blogging more consistently for 2014, and kinda failed. Therefore, it’s back on the list for 2015!

How many posts can I start with:

…better late than never!
Good thing I’m the boss of this blog šŸ˜‰
Months ago, Meghan and I [tried] to get into the lululemon SeaWheeze Half Marathon in Vancouver, Canada — and got in!! The race was sold out in under 40 minutes and this year sold out in under 15 minutes. Excited to know that I’ll be back to Vancouver next year for the race again!
Here are our adventures in picture form… Enjoy!!
Delayed flights. Connecting flights.
Fiiiiinally made it to Vancouver — late, but made it!
Up early for the SeaWheeze expo!
Did my research ahead of time and knew to get there early.
Since we arrived late the night before — this was our first chance to really see Vancouver. Absolutely stunning views; I loved how the city had the views of water and mountains. I would move there in an instant!
A lego-style orca and a friendly-monster sized rubber ducky?!
Yes please! And adorable šŸ™‚
There were so many amazing things about the SeaWheeze half — more coming in the next post šŸ˜‰
But to give you a little taste… there were multiple opportunities to partake in yoga; it was an amazing view with the sea & mountains to stretch it out in downward dog.
Breathtaking views.
Why yes, I shall downward dog, run 13.1, then par-tay par-tay.
The day before the race, we wanted to make sure that we saw some of Vancouver and it’s beauty. As the Floridian, I was amazed at the views and these pretty landforms called mountains! Meghan and I made our way to Grouse Mountain
We took the ski lift to the top for the amazing views. As I’m typing, it is January in Florida and I am in a cutoff tank and shorts. I took a quick look at Grouse Mountain’s website to snag the web address and saw they had web cam capabilities — of course I had to look. Completely covered in snow! There were ice skaters and skiers enjoying the white, fluffy stuff!
I made friends with the animals there. Pictured above are two Grizzly Bears that they rescued and now reside at Grouse Mountain.
Now onto race day!

I've always thought this would be a beautiful race. Vancouver is so gorgeous.
Good luck with your goal to blog more. I'm trying the same thing this year.
